What's new in iOS 4.3

Several beta’s have been released from Apple for the new iOS 4.3, but what’s new? This post explains it all.

Photo Booth
Photo Booth is coming to iOS devices with all those great effects you have come to love in Mac OS X. It will most likely be on the iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4 and the new iPad.

New Graphics Processors
Within the iOS 4.3 system folders, there is a new graphics processor driver from Imagination Technologies. Hinting at a new powerful graphics engine for the iPad (since the iPad has a bigger resolution)

No more iPhone 3G
iOS 4.2 was the last version for the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G. So no more updates for those two devices.

Personal Hotspot
iOS 4.3 will bring the Personal Hotspot feature to the iPhone and iPad since AT&T gave it the go ahead.

Hardware orientation lock comes back to iPad
iOS 4.3 brings the option for iPad uses to change the use of the hardware switch. Either mute the sound or use it as orientation lock.

New settings for Messaging alerts
You can now set whether you want 3, 5 or 10 message alerts in the Messaging settings. You also have the option to set whether or not you want to see a preview of the message.

That’s all the important changes we wanted to talk about. I’m sure more will come along soon but that’s it for now.
