For anyone wondering when this game is going to launch, good news. The highly awaited open-world action-adventure sandbox game Watch Dogs has finally received a launch date: May 27. The game follows the vigilante Aiden Pearce, hacking his way though Chicago’s central operating system, controlling every technological aspect of the city – via the use of his smart phone. The announcement trailer for the game is located at the bottom.
Previously, the game was delayed from its intended launch date: 19 November 2013 – citing “extra time to polish and fine tune each detail”.
Similarly to other Ubisoft’s major releases, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 editions will have bonus 60 minutes of additional gameplay, available via the PlayStation Network at launch.
Watch Dogs will be available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on May 7. For those Wii U owners, unfortunately the game will have a later launch – currently unknown.
