Turtle Beach announces new Wireless, Mobile headsets

Turtle Beach X42 Wireless Dolby Surround Sound Xbox 360 Headset

Gaming headset maker Turtle Beach have announced in the prelude to CES some new headsets coming to market this year, including three new headsets that are part of its expansion to target mobile gamers.

Turtle Beach X32 Wireless Stereo Xbox 360 Headset

The EarForce X42 and X32 are designed for the Xbox 360. They are both wireless headsets, using the 2.4/5GHz dual band Wi-Fi, and have massive 50mm drivers. The X32 will be stereo headsets while the X42 has Dolby Surround Sound. No release date has been announced, but the X32 has been priced at US$99.95 and the X42 at US$159.

The DSS2 Surround Sound Processor for Stereo Headsets promise to transform any normal stereo headset or headphones into Dolby Surround Sound ones. There are also controls to adjust the angles of the surround sound and even a selection of EQ presets to enhance even the most subtle sounds. It is available now for US$79.95

The EarForce Z11 is a wired headset, and still features the same 50mm drivers for richer audio and crystal clear communications. It will be out sometime in the year with a price tag of US$39.95.

Turtle Beach Ear Force M5: Mobile Gaming Headset

Turtle Beach has also expanded into providing mobile gaming headsets with the its M-Series line – which includes the M5, M3 and M1 headsets. The M5 features high-fidelity 40mm audio drivers with full-sized, noise-isolating ear cups for comfort and deliver excellent audio quality. It also includes an in-line mic and call controls for hands-free communication. The M5 will be priced at US$49.95.

The M3 features the same ear cups, but has a more compact design. It includes an in-line mic for hands-free calling, and will be priced at US$39.95. The M1, however, has noise-isolating earbuds, 10mm audio drivers and, again, an in-line mic. The M1 also has a tangle-free braided cord, and will be priced at US$59.95.
