Toshiba AT330 Tablet
(Image: Toshiba/Supplied)
Toshiba back in April announced three new quad-core tablets called the Excite – coming in three sizes: 7.7-inch, 10.1-inch and 13.3-inch; and all running Ice Cream Sandwich and NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Well, Toshiba Australia has announced that these tablets will also be coming to Australia – though, not with the Excite name, and slight spec changes.
All the tablets in the range all feature the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, run Ice Cream Sandwich, Gorilla Glass on their displays, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, microSD card slot, stereo speakers and Bluetooth support.
The only main difference is the screen sizes. The AT330 is the 13.3-inch tablet with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The AT300 (the 10.1-inch model) and the AT270 (the 7.7-inch model) all have a 16:10 aspect ratio. Battery life is 8 hours for both the AT300 and AT270, but the A330’s battery life is unknown – though, since they are similar to the Excite, we’re guessing 13 hours of battery life.
So what are the main differences from this and the Excite? Well, the only differences we found by a quick read were that the Excite 10 and Excite 13 (the equivalents of the AT300 and AT330) feature a full-sized SD card slot instead of microSD.
The AT330, AT300 and AT270 will be available in Australia from late June – the AT330 will cost $699, the AT300 for $539 and the AT270 for also $539.
