Despite rumours (and hopes) for a universal release of Respawn Entertainment’s upcoming first-person shooter Titanfall, the company has today confirmed through EA’s quarterly earnings call that the game “is exclusive only for the lifetime of the title on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.”
EA COO, Peter Moore, also said that he was confident that the game will review “very highly” and that, despite further rumours surrounding the development timeline of the title, the game is not being rushed to market, with the release date always expected to be in March 13, 2014.
Titanfall is an interesting twist in the stale first-person genre, so if Moore is correct it could very well become one of the games that define this generation. Or, you know, it could not. But previews have already been quite positive.
Will this be influencing your next-gen decision? Are you waiting a little while anyway? Or will you be enjoying Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U instead? Let us know in the comments.
