It now has an official release date. Nintendo has announced that the upcoming Legend of Zelda title, Skyward Sword, will launch in Europe on November 18 while the Americans will have to wait on November 20 for its release.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the prequel to the popular Ocarina of Time, recently re-released for the Nintendo 3DS. The game, released for the Wii, will utilise the Wii MotionPlus technology exclusively – so, Link fans, it’s about time for you to invest in a new controller.
In the build up, as part of the series’ 25th anniversary, Nintendo will be releasing Legend of Zelda: Four Swords (remake of the GameBoy Advance version) on DSiWare and Nintendo eShop for free.
No word on an Australian release, but expect it to be timed sometime between those dates – and just before Christmas.
