Apple has finally released the release date and price for the Apple Watch, its brand new smartwatch. The company will roll out the product on April 24 in nine countries: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US. However, the price will definitely break the bank.
The Apple Watch will come in two screen sizes (38mm and 42mm) and three distinct collections – Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition. The Apple Watch Sport variant will be the cheapest out of the three, priced at AU$499; while the Apple Watch will start at $799.
However, the Edition – which was always announced as the premium smartwatch – will start at $14,000. That’s mainly because the watch is apparently crafted with custom rose or yellow 18-karat gold alloys.
So, anyone still want to get the Apple Watch? I’ll probably wait a bit to get cheaper.
