Sony PSN still down, may be down indefinitely

Sony PSN still down, may be down indefinitely

Sony’s PlayStation Network remains down for a fifth day, and there are now reports that Sony is keeping the network offline indefinitely until as it plans to rebuild the entire system to ensure the integrity of the network.

Unfortunately for fans, who already were deprived on playing online during the Easter holidays, Sony has no update on a timeframe.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time,” Patrick Seybold said in a recent blog post on the PlayStation Blog.

Based on the comments on the updates of the downtime, fans of the PlayStation 3 are noticeably upset – though, admittedly, it seems over the top. Other postings on the PlayStation Blog, although reasoned, still have people crying out for compensation.

Sony has also admitted that user’s information may be compromised. According to the Wall Street Journal, Sony’s investigation is trying to find out if any personal information, such as credit card numbers, may be compromised. If it has been compromised, then it may be wise to change your credit card details immediately as a safe precaution.
