Announced at the recent Nintendo Direct, Sega’s Sonic Lost World will feature some cross-platform compatibility between the Wii U and 3DS version, for cooperative play.
When the 3DS version communicates locally with the Wii U edition of the game, players can control customizable remote-controlled gadgets via the 3DS. One of the gadget shown as a RC helicopter helping Sonic throughout a level while collect gold rings.
Sonic Lost World will feature Sonic facing his toughest challenge to date – the Deadly Six; and must team up with his arch-nemesis, Doctor Eggman, to stop them. Both versions of the game will feature different levels and not a port of one another.
Sonic Lost World will be available for the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS on October 18. The reveal trailer from earlier this year is after the jump.
