Independent developer Eastasiasoft Limited has announced that they have a brand new game coming for the Nintendo Switch. Sense – A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is a futuristic adventure style horror game inspired by the classic horror adventure games of the PlayStation 2 era. It was successfully funded on Kickstarter and reached some stretch goals for console releases. Publishing will be handled by Top Hat Studios.
Eastasiasoft Limited is aiming to bring the horror genre back to its roots to focus on that slow creeping on dread that we all love so much in horror. Gamers can expect it to move away from the “cheap” aspects of horror. This will be adding to the list of Nintendo Switch horror games currently available on the platform.
Set in 2083 Neo Hong Kong, Sense – A Cyberpunk Ghost Story follows a young woman called Mei-Lin Mak who is dragged into a maelstrom of horror. It blends cyberpunk with traditional Cantonese folklore to bring classic traditions to an industrial future that hides a bloody mystery. Mei-Lin needs to piece together the stories of 14 different lost souls to find the truth about her own family curse in and effort to stop it. There’s a lot to understand in this game and the developers included a journal in the game to help you keep track of it all and revisit information later.
The developer states that there might be 7 – 10 hours of gameplay during a play through however, there it much more to the game. There are also two New Game+ modes along with alternate endings and more for players to search for an discover. So this game does have a lot of content which is perfect for completionists.
Sense – A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is down for a Q2 2020 release. This means it should release some time between April and June next year. Currently, the game is planned for a PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 release. This is good news for Switch owners however as more Nintendo Switch horror games are needed for that platform.
