So, SanDisk have just announced that they have managed to produce a microSD card with 200GB of storage. Yes, you read that right. According to the press release, they used the same technology found in the 128GB microSD card announced last year, but improved the design so it cram more gigabytes. SanDisk is also boasting that the card has superfast transfer speeds too – with speeds of up to 90MB/s.

So do you really need a 200GB microSD card? Not really, unless you plan to take HD video (which it can store up to 20 hours of material). It is, however, motherfu**ing impressive. The card won’t be out until next quarter, but comes with a hefty price tag. The recommended retail price is US$400.
