Just before CES, Samsung is slowly rolling out its product announcements. The company has announced that it will be releasing a new compact system camera called the NX300, featuring a 20.3-megapixel APS-CMOS sensor. The company also announced a brand new lens that will let you take 3D images and movies in full HD.

The NX300 also features a 3.31-inch AMOLED screen with a touchscreen; and comes with extras such as “Smart Mode” where you can take pictures using 14 different predefined settings (e.g. Creative Shot, Light Trace), and “i-Depth” where you can adjust the depth of the image without moving off target.

The camera is also has Wi-Fi, so you can share photos between your camera and the smartphone/tablet (which you will need to download an app for – available on Android and iOS), and store photos in the cloud through AllShare Play.

The new 3D lens by Samsung is a 45mm lens, and is sold separately. The one lens 3D system allows you to capture full HD video, and take still images in 3D – and sadly is only compatible with Samsung’s NX range of cameras.

No pricing or availability has been mentioned by Samsung.
