The new PSP, expected to be announced this week, has had some big rumours flying around.
Today’s is from Nihon Keizai Shimbun, a Japanese newspaper, which is saying that the new gaming system will have 3G connectivity, provided by NTT DoCoMo in Japan.
They say that the 3G will be used for multiplayer games, downloading games and movies but the device will not be able to make phone calls.
The paper didn’t dive into pricing details for the 3G connectivity, but here’s hoping it’s similar to the Kindle’s free 3G.
They also said that the device will have an OLED touch screen as well as a new processor for good looking visuals.
IGN also says that Nikkei is a very reliable source and that they expect lots of this to come true.
[Update] The Japan conference is happening on the 27th at approximately 5PM AEST (time details are sketchy).
