Remember the days when Polaroid was just a camera company? Turns out, Polaroid also sells speakers, headphones, MP3 players and tablets. Well, the company is about to add two new Android-powered tablets – one priced to undercut the Nexus 7 – called the M7 and the M10.

Both tablets run on Android Jelly Bean, and have access to Google’s Play services – including music, books, magazines and apps.

The M7 features a 7-inch IPS display with a pixel density of 216ppi, a dual-core processor, 8GB of storage that is also expandable, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The interesting thing is the price – this tablet costs US$129, undercutting both the $199 16GB Nexus 7 and the $159 8GB Kindle Fire (which is running its own OS based off Android). It comes out in the American spring, or Australia’s autumn

The M10 is their 10.1-inch tablet and features the same IPS display. It has a quad-core processor, 16GB of storage that is also expandable, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. And it is pretty much undercutting its rivals again, with a price of US$229. Again, like the M7, it comes out in the spring.

And while they are cheaper than its rivals, we’re not entirely sure on how they will perform. There are a lot of tablets that say they are cheaper than the iPad, but the only ones that are good are the Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire. The rest are just pure crap. So, if the M7 and M10 are good tablets, then it might have a winner. Otherwise, don’t even bother touching these tablets.
