Nintendo Australia have confirmed when the sequel to Pokemon Black and White – Pokemon Black Version 2 and White Version 2 (seriously, tacked on “Version 2”? Though, at least it would sell better than ‘Grey’) – will be released to Australians and New Zealanders. Both versions, plus a new exclusive for the Nintendo eShop Dream Rader will be out on October 11.
The gist of the story is that you return to Unova two years after Pokemon Black and White, and you get to discover new areas like a new “PokeStar Studios” to create movies – yes, really, you can do that now in the game. And you can choose from romance, comedy and horror.
Dear god.
Fans of the original series will be also pleased to know that characters such as Eeve, Riolu, Tyranitar, Arcanine and Mareep are back and can be captured from the start of the game. Though, for some reason, this game isn’t a 3DS game, rather a DS game – possibly because those who are likely to buy it haven’t gotten themselves the console yet.
3DS gamers, however, will be able to download Pokemon Dream Rader – which lets you use the camera, motion control and augmented-reality technology to play with Pokemon captured from the two games. There are more Pokemon-related games coming soon, including an updated version of their Pokedex 3D app in the Spring.
Yes, so much Pokemon. But hey, Nintendo is milking it for what its worth because they’re kind of in a middle of financial problems due to low sales of the Wii and the Nintendo 3DS.
