Gaming on the Android OS just became a whole lot more exciting, with Sony announcing the PlayStation Suite.
The new framework will bring the PlayStation Store to Android 2.3 devices, and will launch with a PSone emulator in-built. There is also a promise for Android-native games soon.
Sony is going to sponsor a new quality-control scheme called ‘PlayStation Certified’, as well as introduce first-party licencing, which will hopefully encourage major developers.
It works with all hand-sets (with Gingerbread), not just Sony handsets, and if your device doesn’t have physical buttons for gaming (PSP Phone confirmed?), there will be on-screen touch controls.
