Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare delayed to late February for Australia

pvz_pressdemo_screens_03_wmThe latest and ambitious game from Popcap Studios, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare has been announced that it would release one week later than originally planned. The new release dates are February 27 for Australia and February 28 for New Zealand, only available on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The upcoming highly anticipated third-person shooter will pit the franchise’s beloved plants against waves of brain eating zombies in a different environment. Players will be able to play as various figures from the franchise, such as Peashooter, Garlic Drones, and a Zombie with a dolphin gun. Additionally, plants will have new reinforcements never before seen in the series before – Ice Pea, Hot Rod Chomper, Future Cactus and Mystic Sunflower; each with a unique ability in stopping the zombie threat.

Moreover, two new bosses for Garden Ops were announced in the latest developer diary: the Yeti and Giga-Gargantuar – each first appearing in the original Plants vs. Zombie. In Garden Ops, players will have work together to survive eleven waves of brain-eating zombies until extraction. Other game modes included are ‘Team Vanquish’ – a simple 12v12 team death match game mode, and ‘Garden and Graveyard’ – where teams defend themselves from the zombie threat.
