The latest edition to the Plants vs. Zombies franchise Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be getting free downloadable content, coming March 19. Titled ‘Garden Variety Pack’, this free downloadable content will be featuring a plethora of ability upgrades, a new map – Chomp Town, new enemies, and a new gamemode – “Gnome Bomb”.

“Gnome Bomb” is a 8 vs. 8 objective-style gamemode, where players must cooperate with their teammates to successful destroy their opponents’ garden/graveyard via exploding Gnomes.

The upcoming ability upgrades will allow additional customization to the existing eight classes. Each class will have three new abilities, such as the Sunflower’s Solar Flare Beam, the All-Star Zombie’s Ultra Tackle, and the Chomper’s Super Goop – which immobilize oncoming zombies.

Moreover, the existing maps “Sharkbite Shores” and “Port Scallywag” will be receiving an update – now featuring pirate zombies, such as the Map Zombie – who will defend themselves with a map for extra protection.

The critically acclaimed game Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is currently available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
