Microsoft decided to pull out of giving the opening keynote at CES this year – and who can blame them, recent shows have been luckluster and they appear to do well at its own events. Now, the organisers have announced that Panasonic will be taking its place – so, all those expecting Google or Samsung, you’re out of luck.
Panasonic will also move the keynote at 8:30am on the day of launch – outside of the traditional Press Day held the day before. Panasonic’s last keynote for this year’s CES was pretty bland and lackluster. So, what will Panasonic announce up on stage? New televisions, massage chairs or probably a new feature with MySpace?
All I can tell you is that it will be weird to not see a Microsoft keynote to open the show with.
