Your local Optus store might be a bit different. The telco has announced that they will be launching ten pilot stores this month (and a full roll out in April) with a brand new look that focuses on being simple and easy for customers.
According to Optus, customers can expect their problems solved on the spot rather than to customer care; and if it’s really busy, then they will add them to a queue. Inside, the new stores will be fitted out with magnetic countertops and environmentally-friendly fittings. Customers will also be able to test out Optus products like Optus TV, and their broadband offerings on 3G and 4G (well, that’s assuming you have 4G in your area – I don’t, yet).
They will also revamp its website and apps to make them “more user-friendly”. As an Optus customer, it’s great news that they are revamping their site, because I don’t have to spend ages on their website, clicking link after link after link to get what I actually want.
Optus also plans to launch 33 new stores within the next 12 months, adding 200 new staff. The first pilot store is in Hornsby, New South Wales, with another nine set to launch this month across the east coast soon.
