Nokia Australia has confirmed the release date for the upcoming Lumia 1020, with the smartphone coming to Australia on September 17 on Telstra’s network and a few weeks later on October 1 through Optus.
The Lumia 2020 features a unibody design where the “back” of the phone with the camera lens is the front. It features a 4.5-inch AMOLED display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, and a 41-megapixel camera. It can capture a full-resolution image up to 38-megapixels used for endless zooming, and a 5-megpixel over-sampled image (similar to the PureView 808) photo also produced for sharing on social media.
Telstra and Optus will both be selling the black version of the Lumia 1020, while Harvey Norman plans to sell the black, white and yellow versions. Allphones and Dick Smith also plan to sell the black and yellow versions of the Lumia 1020.
The outright price for the smartphone is $899.
