If you are one of the few people who kept their GameCube controllers, get ready to start using them again. Nintendo has confirmed that they will be releasing an adapter for the Wii U that will let you play the upcoming Super Smash Bros for Wii U with the classic controller, instead of the Wii U GamePad or the Wii Remotes.
Personally, I find this brilliant news – mainly because I never got used to using the Wii Remote when playing Super Smash Bros Brawl when it came out for the Wii. Plus, it felt more comfortable when you were blindly button mashing attacks (I am really terrible at video games).
Get excited! The #WiiU version of #SmashBros. will be playable with GameCube controllers. pic.twitter.com/nmyj9QMsuU

Nintendo has not released any pricing or availability, but I expect this to be out around the same time as the Wii U version is released.
