Nintendo has updated the official Super Smash Bros. site teasing a new Fighter for the upcoming game on the Wii U and 3DS. This three-minute video is set for a worldwide release at 12am July 15 AEST. It is currently unknown what character Nintendo has planned for the video, whether it is a character from a first-party franchise, i.e. Mario or Link; or featuring a three-party franchise’s character – similar to Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog or Capcom’s Mega Man.
In the past, these type of videos have been used to showcase the latest characters inducting into the franchise. The most recent Fighter video showcased Namco’s Pac-Man as a playable character.
Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS will be released on October 4. While the Wii U Edition will be release Summer 2014.
