Nintendo brings Meloetta to Australia - only if you see the new Pokemon movie at Hoyts

648Meloetta

Nintendo will be bringing this Pokemon on the right – Meloetta – to Australian and New Zealand owners of Pokemon Black and White (or their sequels). The only catch is that you will have to see the new Pokemon movie Kyurem vs The Sword of Justice at a selected Hoyts cinema on February 23 and 24.

Meloetta, while listed in the official Pokedex in this generation of Pokemon games, is not available through ‘normal’ means. Nintendo basically does this so you are likely to attend special Pokemon events – otherwise, you cannot complete your Pokedex (unless you trade, but who is going to trade a rare Pokemon?)

The selected Hoyts cinemas that will have Meloetta are: Broadway NSW, Chadstone VIC, Woden ACT, Carousel WA, Tea Tree Plaza SA, Stafford QLD, Wairau Park Auckland, and Riccarton Christchurch.

In order to be eligible, you will need to show the ticket for the Feb 23 or 24 showing; a copy of the game with a Nintendo DS/3DS console (plus a Pokedex); and, no more than 11 Wonder Cards in your possession.

Pokemon The Movie: Kyurem vs The Sword of Justice premieres in selected cinemas at Hoyts on Saturday 16 February – and only for two weekends. The DVD comes out in March 6.
