At an event in San Fransisco, HP (and Palm) have announced 2 new phones, the Veer and Pre 3.
The HP Veer is powered by Palm’s webOS. It has HSPA+, 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, 8GB of inbuilt storage, an Accelerometer, proximity and light sensor and a Snapdragon 7230/800MHz CPU.
The Veer is tiny when shut (it’s a slider) and Palm/HP compared it’s size to a credit card, of which when closed it was the same size.
Next HP/Palm showed off the Pre 3. The Pre 3 has the “largest QWERTY keyboard”, a gesture area, a 3.6″ 480×800 WVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera with HD video and a front-facing camera for video calling.
