After a recent partnership with Ultraviolet, a company which can create digital copies of Blu-Ray and DVD movies that have the software, Samsung has announced a Blu-Ray player that supports it, the BD-ES6000.
So after putting in an Ultraviolet-supporting disc, the digital copy will be added, via Wi-Fi, to the users Ultraviolet account. DVD to digital HD copies cost a small extra price, but it’s basically a more advanced and streamlined version of the 2-pack movies on sale now in stores which have a Blu-Ray or DVD and Digital copy.
Other differences include the small form-factor of the BD-ES6000, but apart from that it’s a regular player with 3D, Wi-Fi and DLNA support. It also has iOS and Android remotes.
