Other than two new smartphones, Samsung also announced an update to its Gear VR virtual reality headset. Produced with the help of Oculus, the new Gear VR has been optimised and will be compatible with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It is also 15 percent smaller and more comfortable to wear thanks to redesigned straps to give it better weight balance while wearing it.
Other changes include improved graphics and can be powered through its USB port so you can have more time with it.
Samsung Australia has confirmed it is coming to Australia, but no release date has been set. “The Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition will be launched in Australia in the coming months. We look forward to sharing more information closer to the launch date,” the company said in a statement.
