Welcome to the Morning Briefing for 9th May 2012, where we highlight the tech stories from across the web that broke while you were sleeping and what we are watching here at techgeek.com.au.
Here’s what we are watching:
- Google is try trying hard to get Google+ out there and being used. As an improvement. they have made their gmail notifications more interactive. From right in your inbox, you can +1 emails, photos and more. Email responses to things will also look like real time comments on the Google+ Website. Very interesting idea but will it work?
- Apple are testing iOS like notifications on their iCloud website. The message “Default Title for English- This is a test message description,” is displayed on the website, so it’s quite obvious Apple have let this one slip but what could it be used for? OS X Mountain Lion will include a notifications feature, so it’s unclear why they need a web based one.
- Apple have released iOS 5.1.1 for your iOS device with some small updates which include HDR photo fixes, AirPlay bug fixes, iPad network switching issues and purchasing issues. Just a small update so it’s probably not worth going through the trouble of updating your iOS device.
