Here’s what we are watching:
- Mozilla has released Firefox for Android Beta. It’s new update sees improved performance, a new design to tie in with the Android interface and native support for Flash. The beta is available in the Android Marketplace now, so go check it out.
- Research from the Harvard Business Review has found that university students no longer have to search for book reviews by professionals as Amazon reviewers are “every bit as good as professional book critics.”
- Once camera giant Kodak, had a secret nuclear reactor hidden in a US research facility for over 30 years. The nuclear reactor had weapons-grade uranium used but posed no risk to employees. The nuclear reactor was decommissioned in 2006 as Kodak wanted to pursue other methods of research.
- A tattoo artist in New Jersey has surgically attached his iPod Nano to his arm. Using four magnetic studs on his arm, his iPod Nano magnetically slots into place on his arm allowing it to be used as a watch. The tattoo artist has posted a How-To video on YouTube just in case you want to do it.
- Finally, Apple has had to repair a pretty serious Siri bug which would respond with Nokia Lumia when asked “What is the best smartphone?”. It simply gathered the results from WolframAlpha which ranks the Lumia 900 phone as the ‘best’ phone based on customer reviews around the web.
