The opening of its Australian flagship store at Pitt Street Mall is not the only big news coming out from Microsoft. Today is also the day when you can now finally get your hands on the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 in Australia.
The Surface Pro 4 is the latest iteration of its Surface Pro tablet and features a 12.3-inch display and a sixth-generation Intel Core processor (Core i5 or Core i7). Microsoft says that the device is 30 percent more powerful, lighter and quieter than its predecessor. It has a starting retail price of AU$1,349.
The Surface Book, however, is Microsoft’s first laptop. Claiming to redefine the laptop, the Surface Book also features a sixth-generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, a 13.5-inch display, and up to 12 hours of battery life. In addition, you can detach the screen and use it like a Surface tablet. The starting price for the Surface Book is AU$2,299.
So where can you get them? The Surface Book will be available exclusively through the Microsoft Store – online or inside its flagship store. The Surface Pro 4, however, will be available through the Microsoft Store, JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman.
