Microsoft’s “mixed reality” glasses will soon be available to more people, with the folks at Redmond announcing today that six more countries – including Australia and New Zealand – will soon be getting their hands on HoloLens.

From late November, developers (and those who seriously want to play with cool tech) from Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Ireland and the United Kingdom will be able to buy the HoloLens exclusively from the Microsoft Store online. You will only be allowed to purchase up to five devices.

The HoloLens comes in two varieties: the Development Edition, which comes with the HoloLens and clicker accessory; and the Commercial Suite, which is basically the Development Edition with added enterprise support and features like BitLocker encryption and Active Directory support (you think I’m joking, I am not).

However, owning a HoloLens will cost you a lot of money. The Development Edition of the HoloLens will cost you AU$4369. The Commercial Suite, however, will set you back $7269.

Pre-orders for the HoloLens begin today. If you have the money for it, you can place your pre-order via the Microsoft Store website.
