BREAKING: Microsoft has announced a new slim Xbox 360 at their E3 media briefing today. The new console, slimmer and in black, will be priced at US$299, $50 extra than the Elite. The box has been given a whole new redesign and will feature a 250GB hard drive – which is said to be removable – and 802.11n wireless built in (the previous models did not have that). Also, it has a quieter fan – so hopefully playing late at night won’t disturb your parents.
Microsoft has shipped these console today, and they will be in stores later this week. International availability of the new slim console is not yet known, but Europe has been confirmed to get theirs on July 16. It’s expected that Asia and Australia happen right after Europe.
