LG to launch series of "Super Ultrabooks" at CES

Two new ultrabooks have been announced by LG at the run-up to this year’s CES. Dubbed “Super Ultrabook” – forgive them for such a lame title for a series – the two in this lineup offer powerful performance despite the sleek and thin body.

The Z330 boasts the fact it is above the standard requirements of an Ultrabook. Featuring a 13-inch display, it also runs on a second generation Core i7 processor (with other options for Core i5 and Core i3), 4GB of RAM and features Intel’s HD3000 integrated graphics. It comes in two storage capacities – a 120GB or 256GB, both solid state drives; and, an 1.3-megapixel camera.

The Z430, however, is a 14-inch model with an LED display. It has a maximum RAM capacity of 8GB (DDR3), and has storage capacities up to 500GB, with an optional 16GB or 128GB SSD drive. It also features the HD3000 integrated graphics, and runs on the second-generation Core i7 or Core i5 processors.

No pricing has been announced, but the two will be coming out sometime in the first quarter.
