Kensington announced a new device that allows you to keep track of your keys, bags and other things easily with Proximo. Proximo is an app-enabled monitoring system which lets your iPhone keep track of a range of things with the tap of a button. Proximo works via a Fob which you attach to your keys or bag and then the app allows you to track their location using Bluetooth 4.0 technology.

Proximo gives you absolute peace of mind, so you don’t have to worry about losing your phone or valuables.”
Proximo allows you to keep track of up to five fobs by establishing a connection between the phone and the fob. The iPhone app allows you to customise the name, photo and sound effect of your items and once setup, an alarm can be triggered if you or your items move out of a set distance.
The Starter Kit contains the App, a Fob and a Tag which will retail for $59.95. While additional tags will cost $29.95. It’s compatible with iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, runs on replaceable lithium batteries and will be available soon – however no specific dates on its availability.
