Believe it or not, this might be what the Galaxy S IV will look like if these official-looking images leaked out by the Twitter account @evleaks are to be believed. And if it is indeed true, then expect the phone to be a similar size to the Galaxy Note and be a huge pain in the ass to put in your pocket because it is just too damn big.
The images leaked also included a glimpse of what we could expect in the phone – including a Super AMOLED Full HD screen, a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, 2GB of RAM, and come in three storage varieties of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. And while it isn’t mentioned in the leaks, expect the Galaxy S IV to use its Exynos 5 Octa processor, which features 8 cores – four Cortex-A15 cores to do processing-intensive tasks, and another four Cortex A7 cores to handle lighter tasks like web browsing.
But like I said, the phone’s screen size is just too big. I should stress that we don’t know the screen size of the device – but the images make it appear that it will be a similar size to the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note. However, the large size serves no practical purpose unless you are drawing notes or watching a film. The only reason why I can think Samsung is increasing the screen size is to simply say that their phone is better just because it has better specs than the other phones – namely the iPhone.
Well, we’ll have to wait until next week when Samsung reveals all in a press conference in New York.
