Nuance, the developers behind Apple’s Siri, has apparently confirmed to developers in its NDEV program that iOS7 will hit general availability on September 10 – which coincidentally is the much-rumoured date that Apple is said to reveal the next iPhone (the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C).
“As you are probably aware, iOS 7 GA [General Availability] will be released on September 10th. The NDEV Program has pre-qualified that SpeechKit 1.4.5 works properly on iOS7, but we encourage you to conduct your own testing,” the email reads.
The date has not been confirmed of course, but it does add a bit more evidence to an iPhone launch on September 10 – mainly because Apple will usually launch a brand new iOS version so it can be shipped out to all existing iPhone users.
