Apple’s new iOS 7 operating system will arrive on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S on the 18th of September. In today’s announcement from Apple, Tim Cook said that iOS 7 will be “the world’s most popular operating system.”
Announced back in June at the WWDC conference, iOS 7 is the first major overhaul of the iOS operating system since it’s inception in 2007. The new version of iOS includes a whole new notification centre, redesigned pre-install apps and Control Center which allows you to toggle settings, control music and use AirDrop, allowing you to send local files over wireless.
The update will be available for the iPhone 4 and later, the iPad 2 and later, the iPad Mini, and the fifth generation of the iPod Touch.
