HTC is partnering with Vodafone to launch its new mid-range smartphone, the HTC Desire 601. The phone, which is a carrier exclusive, comes with a 4.5-inch qHD screen, a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8GB of storage, and 4G LTE support.
HTC is also packing the phone with some of its features available on the HTC One line of phones – including Blinkfeed, Zoe and BoomSound. However, unlike the One series, the Desire 601 does not include its Ultrapixel camera (or optical image stablisation, though for a mid-range phone, we weren’t expecting that feature). Instead, you get a 5-megapixel rear-camera and a VGA front-facing camera.
Vodafone is offering this for $0 upfront on all of its monthly plans – except for the $30 plan, where you have to pay a handset repayment fee of $5 per month – on a 24 month contract. The phone is available now.
