At a press event last night, HTC announced the Australian launch of its new flagship smartphone, the HTC One M9. It will be available on all four major carriers (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile) from March 24. But get ready to pay a hefty price for the phone – its recommended retail price is AU$1099.
The HTC One M9 retains the stunning design from its predecessors, but has massive changes under the hood. It includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 “octa-core” CPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. That can be expanded with the microSD card slot (up to 128GB). In addition, the UltraPixel camera is now at the front, while the rear has a 20-megapixel lens.
Preorders for the phone start today from the carriers’ websites (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Virgin).
