HP updates Ultrabooks with ENVY Spectre XT - promises extraordinary design, performance

HP has announced some new updates to its ENVY ultrabook lineup, with a new addition called the ENVY Spectre XT. It promises to combine extraordinary design and, since it is an ultrabook, thinness without sacrificing on performance – being powered by latest Intel Core processors and Beats Audio support.

It also features a 13.3-inch display, 256GB solid state drive hard drive and a “full array of ports” that include HDMI and USB 3.0. It also has a HD webcam and an optional backlight keyboard – so you can write while in the dark or low-light conditions.

It does come with several pieces of software with it, including Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, Norton Internet Security with two years protection and Absolute Data Protect with one year of protection.

HP Australia has confirmed that it will start selling this in mid-June for a price of US$999.99 – and we’ll see if they decide to charge the ‘Australia Tax’ on it.
