HP brings out new Firebird out to play

HP has announced at CES 2009 its brand new lineup of products for CES 2009; with two new entertainment laptops (Pavilion dv2 and dv3), the new HP Firebird with Voodoo DNA, the HP Mini 2140 and a new photo printing application for the Apple iPhone.

But, we are going to focus on the HP Firebird, which will have either a Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66GHz or 2.83 GHz; 4GB of DDR2 RAM, dual NVIDIA GeForce 9800S with 512MB GDDR3 in SLI configuration, Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n support, and will have Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition (with SP1).

It will also feature 2 hard drives, with the hard drive that is not containing the OS is “hot swappable”. You have two configurations to it as well – two 250GB hard drives, or two 320GB hard drives. All of them are SATA. It will also come with a DVD burner, if you have the 250GB version, or a Blu-Ray player/DVD Burner combo if you have the 320GB version.

It will also have a HDMI port, a Dual Link DVI port, 2 eSATA Ports and a FireWire port.

Pricing is set to start US$1,799; and you can order it online on January 9. It will also be available at stores around the US from February 1.
