For a while now (well, it’s been nearly 9 years since it was announced) we’ve been waiting for the release of a Halo live-action series. Halo first started filing during November 2019 in Budapest. But due to COVID-19 they had to stop just over halfway in March 2020, resuming again in November.
Pablo Schreiber, seen previously in Orange is the New Black and American Gods is staring as Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, or as most like to call him, Master Chief.
At this moment, not much has been released about the plot. We know that Master Chief and Cortana are at the center of the series. Showtime’s President of Programming Gary Levine affirmed it as a new story that is “incredibly respectful of the canon” and that we should expect a “brilliant, expansive world”
The series is set for a Q1 2022 debut on Paramount+, an American video streaming service. Unfortunately, this does not include Australia – but we assume it won’t be long until it reaches our shores too.
