Facebook’s strategy of creating separate apps for every feature of Facebook has been very controversial amongst its users – take for example, the Facebook Messenger furore when they forced everyone onto it. Well, get ready to add another app to your home screen. Facebook has created a new app for Facebook Groups.
As you would have expected, this app allows you to create and manage your groups, send posts and other media, and discovering new groups. Because, apparently, we needed a brand new experience for Groups, and the only way to achieve that was to spin it off in a new app.
However, unlike Messenger, you can still use the main Facebook app to browse, create, manage and post into groups – well, at least for now. In other words, if you don’t like the new Groups app, you can easily switch back using the main Facebook app.
