Grand Theft Auto Online – 16 player insanity

By the end of the five minute GTAV gameplay trailer, people were dying to see what Rockstar had in store for the game’s Multiplayer mode. Today, Rockstar have released a new video showcasing Grand Theft Auto Online the new multiplayer mode for GTAV, where you can basically do anything. From free-roaming, doing missions and activities, to battling it out in deathmatch or racing gametypes, and the ability to customize your own character, vehicles and property, plus SO MUCH more.

Grand Theft Auto Online is a dynamic and persistent online world for 16 players that begins by sharing gameplay features, geography and mechanics with Grand Theft Auto V, but will continue to expand and evolve after its launch with new content created by Rockstar Games and the Grand Theft Auto community.

Those who have played GTAIV multiplayer know how insanely fun it can get, especially being able to free-roam a massive world with your friends. In GTAV, players have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively or competitively, participate in activities and events, or compete in classic online modes like deathmatch, race, cops n’ crooks and much more,  all with the new refined gameplay mechanics of GTAV.

Players invest in their character by taking part in missions, jobs and activities to earn reputation and cash, which ties into the customisability of GTAOnline, being able to change your character’s appearance, stats, as well as vehicles, and personal property, in which you and your friends can hang out in. Rockstar also announced a new content creator mode, where you can design your own race tracks and battle maps, that you can share with your friends and the world…sweet!

The world of Grand Theft Auto Online will constantly grow and change as new content is added, creating the first ever persistent and dynamic Grand Theft Auto game world. GTA Online will be available two weeks after the launch of GTA V, and will be accessible as an extra character on the “Switch Wheel”, right next to Franklin, Michael, and Trevor.

Grand Theft Auto V, is set to release on September 17 on the Xbox360 and PS3. no news on next-gen consoles, and a PC and WiiU release ‘up for consideration’
