Its been a year since Games with Gold launched on the Xbox 360, with millions of users spending countless hours playing free Xbox 360 titles like Halo 3, Assassins Creed and Gears of War. To celebrate the one year anniversary in June, Microsoft are giving an additional free Xbox 360 game, but are also bringing Games with Gold and Deals with Gold to the Xbox One.
The Games with Gold titles for the Xbox 360 are Dark Souls, Charlie Murder and a bonus game of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition
The program will launch on the Xbox One with Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault. A single Gold membership will get you access to the free games for both Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Deals with Gold will also launch for Xbox One in June, delivering discounts for great games each month, offering significant savings of up to 50 – 75% off certain titles. The first titles offered in June are Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome and a few others, and there will also be a virtual VIP room exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members where these deals and benefits will feature.
Just a reminder to Gold members, Games with Gold May will feature Saints Row: The Third on the 16th of May, so make sure to grab your free copy of Dust: An Elysian Tale in the next few days.
