Former NASA engineer develops the DASH7 - wireless portable Bluetooth speaker/soundbar

A former NASA engineer, Dr Godehard Guenther, has taken his talents as a physicist and built this pocketable soundbar and speakerphone called the DASH7. This Bluetooth speaker is only three-quarters of an inch high, looks really sleek and beautiful (it is German, after all) and features speakers that provide, according to them, “true high-fidelity sound”.

Because it is a Bluetooth speaker, you can hook this up to any iOS device or smartphone. Sadly, there is no NFC – because that would have made it easier to pair the devices together. You can even use this as a speakerphone, with the DASH7 offering noise cancellation; and even charge your tablet and smartphone with the USB Charger Kit.

It is priced at US$249 and will be available in US stores in red and white, and in February in black and silver, through select online retailers and via its own website. Press release and gallery below:
