Facebook are now facing issues as well.... and resolved them

It’s probably time to just give up on the internet today. After Optus and Vodafone both facing issues today in regards to the mobile networks, Facebook has just fallen off the face of the earth – literally. Currently when trying to visit Facebook, you’ll be prompted with a screen much like the one you see below.

This appears to be affecting all Facebook services including the Like and Share buttons on websites, the mobile applications and mobile website. Of course, Facebook users have migrated to Twitter to share their frustration. So for now, how about get up off your chair, have a stretch and watch TV… or read a book… or read TechGeek stories ;)

We’ll update this post when more information surfaces.

UPDATE 6:30PM: Facebook is back! Did you survive?! We’ve reached out to Facebook for comment and this post will be updated accordingly.

Update: 7:30PM: A Facebook spokesperson has told TechGeek:

“Earlier this morning, we experienced an issue that prevented people from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time.

We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100%. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
