EU-wide Galaxy Tab 10.1 ban suspended (except in Germany)

EU-wide Galaxy Tab 10.1 ban suspended (except in Germany)

After a claim that Apple may have falsified evidence in its injunction to block sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, a German court has now temporarily suspended a ban of the iPad rival to all EU countries except in Germany.

According to FOSS Patents, the court spokesperson confirmed that they received the claims from Webwereld, a Dutch publication.

In addition, they say that the suspension was due to competence (in other words, whether it could actually enforce the ban outside Germany). Therefore, all the EU countries would not be affected by a ruling in Germany.

Apple is also in the process of having an injunction enforced in the Netherlands, and has successfully blocked it in Australia. However, with the deal between Motorola and Google, is this attempt to stop Android at its tracks a futile attempt?
