EA and Respawn Entertainment – founded by former Infinity Ward executives Jason West and Vince Zampella – have revealed their first title together. Called Titanfall, the game is entirely multiplayer and is coming to the Xbox One.

Respawn Entertainment, if you don’t know, is the new company founded by West and Zampella after being fired by Activision back in 2010 for “breaches of contract and insubordination”. Titanfall is their first game and EA says that they have “drawn inspiration” from their experiences with first-person shooters.

According to EA:

The universe of Titanfall juxtaposes small vs. giant, natural vs. industrial and man vs. machine. The game drops players into a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia as elite Pilots. With the ability to shift back and forth between pilot and Titan, players will have the freedom to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation

It will be interesting to see how this game plays out, especially given that the game is entirely multiplayer. Titanfall is coming out in Autumn 2014 for Xbox One and Xbox 360 (though developed by a different company). Trailer is below.
