Dell announces XPS One 27 all-in-one, pricing begins AU$1699

Dell has announced a brand new all-in-one PC, the XPS One 27. The largest all-in-one PC Dell has made, and features a 1TB hard drive, a Core i5 or Core i7 processor, and a 27-inch Full Quad HD WLED widescreen display – all encased in a slim, almost iMac like chassis.

The device also comes with 4GB of RAM, Intel HD 4000 graphics, and built-in Infinity-branded speakers with Waves MaxxAudio 4 and integrated surround sound as standard. The XPS One 27 also has a HD webcam with a dual digital microphone for Skype, support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and a DVD drive. And as part of its “clutter-free” design, the company is shipping a wireless keyboard and mouse with the XPS One 27.

Customisation options include an NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 2GB graphics card, having up to 8GB of RAM, increasing storage to 2.5TB, and an optional Blu-Ray combo drive.

Noted by my friend Jason Cartwright, it’s not a touchscreen device, and that’s pretty much agree that it’s disappointing. Why? Well, with Windows 8 coming soon, it would be nice to use those touch gestures on its Metro interface with your fingers, as opposed to a mouse and have an ugly slider at the bottom.

It is available now from Dell’s website for AU$1699. Gallery below.
